SECTOR 2 – IOT & AUTOMATION
INTERNET OF THINGS (IoT)
The Internet of Things (IoT) describes the network of physical objects—“things”—that are embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies for the purpose of connecting and exchanging data with other devices and systems over the internet. These devices range from ordinary household objects to sophisticated industrial tools.
we can connect everyday objects—kitchen appliances, cars, thermostats, baby monitors—to the internet via embedded devices, seamless communication is possible between people, processor, and things.
EMBEDDED DEVELOPED BOARDS
An embedded system is a microcontroller or microprocessor based system which is designed to perform a specific task. The purpose of embedded systems is to control a specific function within a device. They are usually designed to only perform this function repeatedly, but more developed embedded systems can control entire operating systems.
Ex.Arduino,Rapberry PI, MSP 430.
SENSORS
Sensors basically classified into analog and digital sensors. These are frequently used in most electronics applications. Sensors can improve the world through diagnostics in medical applications; improved performance of energy sources like fuel cells and batteries and solar power, improved health and safety and security for people.
Ex. PIR Sensor, Humidity Sensor.
THERMAL IMAGING SYSTEM/IR CAMERA
An infrared camera (also known as a thermal imager) detects and measures the infrared energy of objects. The camera converts that infrared data into an electronic image that shows the apparent surface temperature of the object being measured.
